I finsihed 6 more DJ blocks. Slowly the quilt is starting to get shape. The theme for these blocks (except 1) is fuzzy cutting and applique. I didn't plan on doing applique yet. I wanted to leave it for last as I find applique to go quickly. But, after challenging myself (see my previous post) to do G11 (Blue block with dogs and bows), I guess the bug just bit too hard LOL
I broke my own rule with the pink block: "don't stitch when you are tired". I quickly assembled the block 23:00 at night, just to discover I had my triangles the wrong way around. The next morning I corrected that...
In the meantime I made a new bag for my pegs. The old one started to disintegrate. I didn't use a pattern but I did use the size of the old bag as a reference.
your Dear Jane is coming along nicely! little by little it will get done
ReplyDeleteBefore you know DJ is done! Beautiful blocks. ...and yes, you are not the only one to sew when you are tired and it goes wrong! It has happened to me too. The error block looks interesting too. Cute peg bag.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing very good in making your Dear Jane blocks.
