Vordering

Wel, vordering is stadig, maar ek vorder wel met my twee projekte.

Ek kon darem so af en toe kort tydjies afknyp en die krans oorteken op die swart materiaal, met behulp van die "tracing paper". Dit werk fantasties lekker en ek is baie bly dat ek dit gekoop het.

Well, progress is slow, but I am making progress on my two projects.

I was able to take a few minutes here and there to transfer the wreath unto the black fabric, using the tracing paper. It is wonderful to work with and I am very pleased to have bought it.

Oeps, ek dink ek het 'n blaar gemis daar aan die linkerkant. Gelukkig het ek 'n wit potlood om dit in te vul.

Oops, I think I missed a leaf on the left hand side. Luckily I have white pencil to fill that in.

Danksy die sokker, kan ek ten minste 20min. elke aand sit en werk aan die Kerskwilt. Terwyl manlief die sokker kyk, sit ek langs hom en doen my borduurwerk. Ek is amper halfpad met die blok. As ek tog maar net elke aand so kon werk met die hele kwilt!!!

Due to the soccer, I am able to sit every night for at least 20min. and work on the Christmas quilt. While Hubby is watching the soccer, I can sit next to him and do some embroidery. I am nearly halfway with this block. If only I could work like this for the whole quilt!!!

3 Weke later...

...en wat het ek om te wys. Nie veel nie, om die waarheid te sê, maar ek het darem vordering gemaak.

3 Weeks later and what do I have to show for it? Not much to be honest, but I have made some progress.

Eerstens het ek bietjie aan my Kerskwilt gewerk. Een hoek is byna klaar!

Firstly I worked a bit on my Christmas quilt. One corner is nearly finished!

Tweedens het ek besluit wat om met my nuwe speelgoed te maak. Ek gaan 'n Kersfees-krans borduur bo-op swart materiaal. Natuurlik het ek nou 'n rede om die "transfer paper" te gebruik. Ek het besluit op rooi en 2 groen gare vir die borduurwerk. Ek sal later goud kry vir die klokkies.

Secondly, I decided what to do with my new toys. I am going to embroider a Christmas wreath onto black fabric. Now I have a reason to use the transfer paper. I decided on red and two green threads for the embroidery. I will get some gold for the bells later.

Ongelukkig is dit al wat ek kan wys vir 3 weke. Tot volgende keer!
