...But before I get to that, DS's second quiet book activity is finished. I might need to sew the smaller beads into place though. At the moment everything is glued in place. I put some velcro at the back of the trucks so that they don't fall off. This is his Counting Train.
Ek gaan my eie Dear Jane kwilt maak!!!
So, my secret...For the last 2 years, I have participated in a BOM. I only collected the fabrics and didn't make the quilt. This morning, I received my last package of fabrics and my set is now complete. I am going to make my own Dear Jane quilt!!!
All the fabrics I have been collecting over the last 23 months.
Die laaste keer wat ek so iets gedoen het, was my appliek kussings. Ek verkies helder, "blender" of soliede kleure, so om hierdie 1930 reeks materiale te gebruik gaan buite my "comfort zone" wees.
I can't wait to get started, although I will admit: I am a bit anxious. It isn't my usual style to make quilts "as close to the original as possible". The last time I did that was with my applique pillows. I prefer bright, blender or solid colours, so working with this 1930 reproduction fabrics is a bit outside my comfort zone. I will tell you more about my Dear Jane story in a future post.
