Maar nou, al die pragtige blomme en kunswerke, alles wat sy met soveel liefde en oorgawe gemaak het, treur saam met ons almal.
My liefste Ouma, rus in vrede! Dankie vir al die wonderlike herninneringe.
She was always busy with her hands. She would be in the garden planting new flowers or doing some pruning. Or she would be in the kitchen busy with some wonderful baking. But, if you were lucky to find her in her sewing room, then you would see her making a masterpiece. Embroidery, thread painting, knitting or even applique. I still have a little dress she made for me. A lovely knitted blue dress with a pink rose in the front. She even made some clothes for my dolls! There was nothing that she couldn't do with needle and thread. I do believe that some of her love for that was passed down to me, but I wish I could have only a drop of her talent!
But now, all the lovely flowers and the artwork, everything she made with so much love and passion, mourn with us all.
Dearest Grandmother, rest in peace! Thank you for all the wonderful memories.
