Geskenke

We were for a short visit in South Africa, where we attended 2 weddings and of course a quick visit to the family. During our visit, I had the opportunity to present Brother 1 with his quilt. Needless to say that he was very excited and already planned when and where to use the quilt :)

Jy is baie dierbaar!

Also, during our visit, I had the privilege of visiting a fellow blogger. I discovered Karin's blog Beary Quilts on Quilting Bloggers. I never thought that Karin would live so close to our family, and a visit was in order. She  made this cute pouch for me. You can read all about it on her blog. Again, thank you Karin for this gift. You are a dear!

Lastly, I had put today aside to continue working on my Bloggers BOM quilt. However, I paged through a magazine and saw this cute idea for a gift. I had some trouble with it, and it took me the whole day to make this cellphone bag. It is suppose to go to someone who is leaving for holiday, but I think I will have to redo it, as I am not very satisfied with it. It is o.k. for me, but not if I want to give it so someone. I saw the pattern in the Australian Homespun magazine (Vol. 12.12 - The Summer Issue). I, however, added a button where the pattern provided for a snap fastener.

Tot volgende keer!

Until later!
