Bloggers' Quilt Festival

Amy from Amy's Creative Side is hosting a Quilt Festival. There is, as always, lots of wonderful and inspiring quilts to see and admire. I decided to enter my Raggedy Ann and Friends quilt.

Vir diegene wat nie gereeld my blog lees nie, Raggedy Ann and Friends is 'n kwilt wat ontwerp en aangebied is as 'n BOM deur Kaaren Johnson van The Painted Quilt.

For those not familiar to my blog, Raggedy Ann and Friends is a quilt designed and hosted as a BOM by Kaaren Johnson from The Painted Quilt. Kaaren made her quilt as a scrappy quilt. My version is made in shades of brown, to give it the chocolate look. By following the BOM, friendships were formed and I learned a few new techniques and patterns. At the time the BOM started, I  only quilted for 2 years, and was thus still very new in the quilting world.

The quilt consist of patchwork and embroidery. It measures 197cm (77.5 inch) x 156cm (61.4 inch). I machine quilted it, using straight line quilting methods. The quilt was finished in April 2012.

Hier is nog 'n paar foto's: / Here are a few more photos:
