My embroidery quilt is progressing, up to now. I finished Block 2 and was waiting for an opportunity to write a blog post about it. While waiting for the opportunity, I finished block 3 as well. It is a small block, so no miracles happened in the meantime.

Block 4 is prepped and I have already put a few stitches on it. It is, however, to big to put in one photo, so here is the picture in 3 parts (my camera's panoramic view wasn't working with me)

What I have learned so far, is that it is very difficult to work with Metallic thread if you do not have the right needle. I hope to have a needle that will accommodate the thread very soon. Any suggestions from those of you who does hand embroidery?

Lastely, we had a visitor the other day - a guinea fowl! They pass through the neigbourhood about once a year and normally they stay away from our yard. This time there were 3, all playing around in our yard!

Tot later!

Until later!

  1. I'm glad you decided to complete this quilt. Your blocks are coming along nicely. I unfortunately have not used metalic thread but I'm thinking maybe a needle with a bigger eye.

  3. The angel is sweet! I do not like using metallic thread. Always split when I used it.
