I had some time available this week for my fabrics. I finished basting the quilt, and also completed the Blogger's BOM blocks 10 and 11.

Blok 10 is deur Pam Vieira-McGinnis van Pam Kitty Mornings

Hier is hulle almal saam.

And here they are, all together.

Ek moet seker weer aandag gee aan my NYB blokke ook. Ek dink ek het 4 oor om te doen. Miskien later.

Groete!

I should give some attention to my NYB blocks as well. I think I have 4 left to do. Maybe later.

Regards!

Aangename verrassing

Today is a non-quilting blog entry. Mostly because I have such good news that I want to share with all. I have a fish tank with Zebra Danio and Platy fish. The last two weekends held a big surprise for me...

The photos are not very good, sorry)

You might have to click on the photo to make it bigger in order to see the fry)

In the last week, my Zebra Danio's decided to spawn - spontaneously! I only have them since May. It was not my intention to breed, but I am ecstatic since there is almost 10 fry (at this stage they are too small to count accurately, so there can be more or less). Hubby and I spend nearly an hour this morning to catch the youngsters and place them in the breeding net. Last weekend we caught a baby as well, but from another spawning. That in itself was already a surprise.

The net will be their home for the next while, until they are big enough to swim with the adult fish. It will be a great pleasure if most of them survive.

Until later!

Just this much left to do, before I can start quilting.

Soms sal ek musiek luister of 'n video speel, net vir agtergrond geluide. Werk soos 'n bom vir my. Hoe doen julle gewoonlik jul voorbereiding?

Groete

This is how I normally do my basting: I will sit/kneel on the cushion, and will baste row for row, from left to right. My only tools are the cushion, needles, thread, scissors and off course some leather thimbles. Sometimes I will play some music or a video, just for some background noise. This works like a charm for me. How do you normally do your basting?
